Augmented reality through the use of Google Cardboard viewers in conjunction with an iPad will provide my students, a few of whom who have never left their hometown, to experience the settings and time periods of the literature we read within the walls of the classroom. I hope to engage my students in antiquated, but timeless texts like The Odyssey by transporting them to the Mediterranean or the battlefield of Troy! The donations from this project will provide immersive opportunities for students to practice their public speaking skills, model of complex concepts, digital storytelling, narrative writing inspiration, virtual field trips, and more! Any help would be so appreciated!
