My project is to increase new library books entering the shelves at Grapevine. Students need a variety of genres to keep them interested in reading. Books are experiences that they can hold in their hands. My students do not have the opportunities that many other children their age have access to. All state budgets have cut schools and libraries. Our collection is mainly older books with very few additions. New and interesting books are released every week and students love to explore them. Newer books help to attract students. Library books are available to all students to enjoy. They last for years unless lost, damaged or stolen. This project would impact students for years to come.
