We will create and control the delivery of electricity in the classroom. We will produce and use electricity from a variety of sustainable sources. We will see how energy is generated and used with simple hand cranked generators and build simple electric circuits and motors to understand how electricity can be turned into working energy. We will build solar cars to explore first hand the limiting factors for solar energy and explore ways to overcome those limits. We will compare those findings to energy produced by bio-cells powered by fruits and vegetables and even water. Exploring electricity through this hands on approach will help with a deeper understanding of these concepts.
