Most of our projects and activities are conducted indoors in our classroom. We are not equipped for a learning environment outside of our classroom. But, the picnic table, butterfly nets and paint paper for painting outdoors would be a great beginning for a learning center outdoors. Presently, we do not have any picnic tables where learning can take place. The butterfly nets would allow each child to have an active role in catching and observing the butterflies. The students would paint the butterflies that they observed outside. It would be an easy clean up too! Our school has the perfect setting for an outdoor learning center! Our setting is a wooded rural area with a large playground area. It is a quiet area where learning can take place. As a county school, funds are limited. The Kindergartners and the entire school would benefit from an outdoor learning center, and we would be very appreciative.
