Help me give my students an opportunity to learn and enjoy science. The Samsung Galaxy tablet will allow them to use technology to develop and understanding of science. My students are from low income households in a city where funds are not available to supplement supplies. I am a 7th grade science teacher at a junior high school in Vicksburg, MS. I teach approximately 130 students that are in the lower twenty five percentile of the student population. The needed resources are not available that will help me to prepare my students adequately for their state mandated exit exam in April. Over half of the students in my classes have been diagnosed with different disabilities, ADHD, ADD, Autism, Speech impairment and others. These students have short attention spans, and problems with focusing during instruction. If they are provided with the tablets this will allow them to complete their work using technology as well as learn to explore different areas in science while they are engaged. I am requesting Samsung Galaxy tablets, to give my students the opportunity to develop skills that will reflect positive student learning through technology and hands on learning to help them improve comprehension skills to further prepare them for the future.
