I am working on changing up my classroom environment. I recently have been reading research on the classroom setting. I am working breaking the traditional classroom setup. I need fun chairs to replace my desks. I need book shelves to create our classroom library. I need to get chairs and shelving to create an atmosphere of a coffee shop. I want to use resources to change setting of my room. Research shows that SMART schools consider the whole student, environment being one of the easiest and best way to start to address the whole student. If we focus on the whole student, I am hoping that they will become self motivated students who love to read.
