Theatre is a symphony of performance, light, and sound. With these spotlights, my students will be able to paint on the canvas of the stage; lighting the performers and creating magic. Students will be able to discover how light interacts with objects and actors onstage. To discover how spotlights can create emphasis and influence mood. With these instruments, my students will be exposed to another aspect of technical theatre that will broaden their experiences. I hope through this project to provide them with the opportunity to work with a variety of lighting equipment and teach them what it is to paint with light.
