Science is a foundational part of early learning. These materials would help my students explore and engage in a science center in their classroom. With a special education classroom of young learners, it can be a challenge finding materials that are suitable for all of my students. This light table would give my students the ability to stand (or sit) side-by-side, exploring light, colors, and shapes in a way that they are currently unable to do. While some students may be encouraged to expand their cognitive abilities and build towers and houses with the magnetic tiles, another student may be encouraged to simply reach for a tile and work on motor skills, both being significant and exciting progress that I'd love to see in my students!
