The Chromebooks will be used on a daily basis for a variety of subjects and purposes. We adapted Benchmark Universe and our Language Arts Program and students are required to take weekly assessments. The Chromebooks will help my students become fluent in their keyboarding skills and will be able to type out their weekly essays. The Chromebooks will not only be used for typing and writing our essays, they will also be used for research, PowerPoint presentations, and much more. Technology in the classroom is so important for our students. Our school district has standardized testing based on the Common Core State Standards, called Smarter Balance. This test along with many others require students to be fluent in typing and require them to put in use their research skills.
