My students will be using these books and stools in a novel study. They will be reading the text in groups or pairs and creating and answering questions as they go through the book. They will also be creating a book project when they complete the text. These donations will help my students continue their love of reading! Al Capone Does My Shirts is an entertaining story about school-aged children living on Alcatraz Island when it was a working prison. Through this text, we will be able to not only enjoy a fabulous story written by a wonderful author, but we can also take a trip through history and study Alcatraz as we read.
