First grade is the most critical time when students are expected to make such extraordinary progress in reading independently. One of the BEST ways to achieve this goal is having students read as much as possible in a soothing little nook where they feel welcomed and safe! The main problem in our classroom setting is sitting alone on the cold floor or in a hard, stiff chair in the classroom library…which is not inviting for the little ones to want to read at all. These comfy bean bag chairs and soft area carpet will without a doubt, improve my students reading environment and love for books! The students will be able to lay on their back or bellies to read their books on the soft carpet which will make their reading experience so much more enjoyable. Being able to lounge in the comfy bean bag chairs will allow the children to feel secure and relaxed while being focused on their book in hand.
