The five balance balls, five stability stools, and five meditation cushions will be used in my classroom to channel the inner excitement that drives my students' minds and bodies. It will allow freedom of choice and put control in the hands of the learners. Movement is not only a frequent occurrence for my 2nd grade students, but a necessity in the scope and sequence of our day. Giving my students a choice of where they sit in our classroom, what type of seats they use, and allowing for independence are all key aspects of creating a flexible, dynamic, and effective classroom environment.
