These resources would enable me to fully integrate art and mindfulness into my regular activities. Activities will be woven into the academic curriculum, as well as supplement the social-emotional work we do. Starting with yoga and movement, students will regulate their bodies and emotions, and move into mindful activities, including using putty, watercolors, colored pencils, and pastels. Some activities include a mindfulness session on self-reflection, followed by students drawing and painting self-portraits. Another example is practicing yoga poses using the mats, and balancing using the exercise balls. Students then participate in art activities to illustrate the poses, and how they made the students feel.
