I work in one of the largest school districts in Oklahoma, however, we do not have a set reading curriculum. These books will allow me to teach the reading, grammar, comprehension, and writing skills required for 2nd grade. My students LOVE to read! These books will allow me to encourage that love and build onto it as we explore one book each week. We will read the book whole group each day and learn grammar patterns, along with comprehension and writing strategies. The students will journal about each book and complete book-specific writing activities in their literacy centers. These books will also be available every day in my class library for my students to read and explore on their own. Thank you for your consideration!
