Diversity is something that should always be welcome and embraced in a general education classroom. Just like there are many methods of teaching, there are different type of learners. Providing my students with flexible seating options, such as wobble chairs and bouncy yoga balls, will provide them with seating options that provide accommodations to their learning needs. With flexible seating options, students are given the power to choose a seat that will cater to their need to be active while learning. Flexible seating will change the dynamic of the traditional classroom environment and will hopefully foster eagerness and comfort for learning. My students are extraordinary and unique in their own ways, therefore their seating choices should mirror just that.
