My classroom is in desperate need of tables. Students currently sit in desks that have seats attached to slanted tops. This makes it extremely difficult to arrange them in ways that create a protective team environment. When students are collaborating on group assignments they are forced to move to a spot on the floor in order to have a workspace that is large enough to accommodate all of their materials. Folding picnic tables will help create an environment better suited for teamwork, leadership skill building, and better collaboration among students. These tables will give students plenty of work space, both when working in groups and when working individually. The tables can be easily folded and stacked, which will allow more space in the classroom for other activities as well.
