These materials will help make a difference in my students' learning because giving students their own private space to work, in which they are comfortable, focused, and given autonomy over where they can sit in the classroom, helps bring out the best in them. I've noticed that when I teach my students and send them off to work independently at their desk vs in a space that they choose, my students are more excited and engaged when they have a choice. Having a variety of options for chairs vs. stools and different styles for working on the floor (i.e. with a clipboard, on a wobble cushion, with a lap desk) will allow my students to make choices for themselves where they can do their best work at.
