One area my students struggle the most with is listening and speaking. As a speech-language pathologist working at the elementary level, I know my students have varying needs and abilities, which are difficult to address without the use of technology. I am requesting one iPad and one case so that I can use numerous articulation and language applications with my students. My students will be challenged by interacting with engaging applications that can be accessed on the iPad. This will offer a greater diversity of materials to meet the needs of all my learners. In my classroom, we practice articulation and language skills daily. The addition of technology would give my students a much greater range and variety of learning opportunities. In order to build a foundation for college and a career, my students need ample opportunities to improve their listening and speaking skills.
