Our music department would like way to record and broadcast to the parents and community all of the great music performances that we present throughout the school year. Recorded and broadcast music performances will assist with program recruitment and retention as well as allow busy parents who may not be able to attend the performance watch it live or later. The students will also be trained to use this technology, which could inspire some of them to pursue careers in video/audio recording arts. Currently, I am using my personal phone to record our music concerts and it would be great to have a dedicated piece of equipment to complete this task (and so that I don't have to use my own phone anymore!) - this device will have better quality and more features to really make our music shine! To make recording and live broadcasting our performances as streamlined as possible, I am asking for a MEVO Plus camcorder, extra battery pack, stand, and carry case. What's great about this technology is that the students can easily film performances at our school, the football stadium (marching band), or out in the community. Once recoded and edited, we will distribute these recordings on our youtube channel for the world to see!
