My 1st grade students are in need of a few different flexible seating options. Flexible seating will enhance their ability to pay attention during instruction, strengthen their core, and allow them to choose a flexible seat each morning that is just right for them! My students will no longer need to be attached to a desk; they will be able to move, sit in different areas of the room, and use the flexible seats in both whole group and small group settings. Research has shown that flexible seating promotes good health, decreases stress and anxiety, increases attention span, and strengthens mental and physical abilities in students. Donating to this project would greatly help my students by giving them a classroom that allows them to be comfortable during the long school day and help with their academic success!
