We need whiteboards! I had a set that I used for 11 years that were cut from white shower boards at Home Depot, but after years of use, the finish was wearing off and they became too difficult to clean. I had to throw them away. I would love a set that would last longer and was true dry-erase boards so they are easier to clean! I can quickly assess which students are understanding in math when we use whiteboards. I can then adjust my lesson for my students' needs. It is difficult to get students to come in at the beginning of the year with the appropriate supplies that will last throughout the year. Folders, pencils, and glue sticks all run out or are ruined by Christmas. I have learned over the years that color-coding our subjects' folders helps with better organization in the classroom and keeps the students focused on the task. Any student can quickly see their writing folder in their desk and save time hunting for it. Having pencils at the ready and plenty of glue sticks is another way that I can save time and continue to do school work!
