Over the past few years I've noticed a lot about my students as well as my own children. They do not get enough time to be kids! I felt that my students were sitting in uncomfortable desks and plastic chairs all day like little businessmen! So I did some research and found flexible seating! For my project I chose to purchase a large 9’ x 12’ rectangular area rug from Lakeshore Learning. This rug will allow my students to choose spaces that will help them to be the most comfortable, collaborative, and successful. It will give them the chances to work together, move when they need to, and have fun learning. This 9’ x 12’ rug will give my students more choices to sit on the floor and to make our classroom warmer. The carpeting will allow the students to stretch out and move around the room together. It will feel more like a living space where all can be more comfortable and we can use or space to its fullest!
