My students are 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program at my school. There are approximately 75 students that work with me for differentiated instruction to meet their learning needs. Since GATE students learn and think differently than students who are at or below grade level, I work with grade level standards and provide enrichment activities so GATE students are learning on their instructional level. Without outside funding, it is difficult to purchase materials for projects and technology to keep up with my students' academic demands.
