The materials that I am requesting will be extremely well used. I have seen the success of flexible seating in other classrooms. Sitting still for longer periods of time at their desks has been such a challenge for my students. I love the idea of having a workspace they can use on the ground. The portable lap desks would be a great chance for students to get out of their seats and sit with good posture to work on their iPads. For students who prefer to sit at their desks or for when we are doing a lesson, using the wobble stools will be a great tool. I have found my students are more focused on their reading when they can sit in a bean bag chair or spread out on the floor rather than sitting at their desks. More often then not I notice the kids start to zone out when they sit in their standard seats. I have also seen kids tip in their chairs or sit on their knees just to find a comfortable way to sit. I am very excited to be able to offer them an alternative choice!
