The lap tables will help them be able to work in small cooperative groups around the classroom without needing their desks. This is great for the students who need to move around and need a change of pace from the routine. The rug, stools, and other items I have requested are to replace some of the classroom items that were lost in the flood. The stools provide another opportunity to encourage collaborative grouping through literature circles and group projects. Due to Hurricane Harvey flooding our school, these classroom essentials will help my 5th graders immensely! We would love to return to our campus when it re-opens in August with all of the tools my students will need to help them gain a lifetime love of learning!
