These chromebooks will be used in my second grade classroom to research and explore scientific and mathematical concepts. The students will use them to complete virtual science labs to explore concepts such as force and motion, animals and habitats, matter, and the human body. In addition the chromebooks will be used to allow the students to gain fluency in mathematical concepts. These chromebooks will allow our classes to get closer to a one-to-one ratio. For many of these lower-income students, school is their only opportunity to interact with this type of technology. This project will allow them to begin to build the skills necessary for our 21st century world.
