With large flat tables for a class of 28 to work at in groups, I could finally provide students the right surface for with hands on activities with space for their supplies. My classroom and my teaching would be completely energized with actual Science furniture or a room arranged with enough surface area to enjoy my students learning and exploration. I am limited in what we can do, because there is no surface big enough in the room to do any experiments. The tables could be used as stations, or used for whole group demonstrations and guided activities. I have a Science classroom with no tables for any type of student work, not even for a computer station, only rows of chrome and plastic tilted desks.
