Having flexible seating in the classroom allows students to have choices that will not limit their creativity. With flexible seating, students can choose how and where they work. I will be using the six wobble stools at our reading group table and the four balance ball chairs at our activity table. Students use these two tables for reading groups, small group math activities, and creative time. By allowing students to wiggle during reading and station work, students should be more focused on their work. Allowing students to sit where it is comfortable for them will empower them to work as best meets their needs. I am very excited to see how flexible seating inspires creativity and focus in our classroom.
