Tablets will provide my students more opportunities to practice their technology skills. In my classroom, our goal is working toward independence and developing job skills. Did you know that the most recent U.S. disability employment statistics show that only 20 percent of people with disabilities are participating in the workforce? My goal is to get as many of my students into the workforce as possible. My students will use these tablets to send emails, fill out job applications, create a resume, develop time management skills, word processing and data entry. My students are very close to adulthood and they would greatly benefit from the ability to hone their technology skills before entering the adult world.
