My students are struggling readers. Many face learning challenges including attention issues. Sitting is a challenge Wobble chairs will allows my students to move, yet maintain attention to the lesson. The wobble chairs will give my kids a much needed outlet and help them focus on the task at hand. The additional items will provide my students with hands on materials to practice and apply the skills they are being taught in class. We learn by doing, kids need to physically manipulate the letters and sounds when learning to read. The Reading Skills Giant Activity Dice allow for this manipulation. The Find the Letter Center provides the tactile stimulation that many children need to connect the letters and their names. What's the Sound Word Sliders are a great way for children to practice segmenting and blending sounds in word - an essential skill for reading. Finally, the Connect and Store Bins will be used to organize materials making them easily accessible to my students. All children can learn read, some just need a little extra support. The items included in this project will help provide that extra support. Thank you!
