We currently have iPads in our school but would love to have more. Students in my 2nd grade classroom have been exposed to iPads but we are sharing them with the whole school and they are in high demand. Some of my students have the opportunity to use iPads at home and I would love to give all of my students the same opportunity to use an iPad. My iPad savvy students would be able to be the "teacher" and share their knowledge of iPads with their classmates while learning and sharing necessary skills to be a successful 21st century learner. We are a Chromebook school district and students use them on a daily basis for station rotation for both E.L.A. and Math. We have 10 housed in our room and students have learned to share our highly sought after technology. With an expected class-size of 27 students next school year, having an iPad housed in our classroom would allow for more students to have learning experiences through technology in all subject areas. A classroom iPad would also allow for immediate use at any teachable moment in the classroom, whether it be myself or a student, rather than having to stop and see if it is possible to sign one out from the office. Exposure and Utilization of all forms of technology throughout all subject areas and activities is an integral part of my 21st century learners success.
