There is a ton of materials online that I would love to use to teach my students to speak Spanish and French, and most are free and with sounds and authentic conversation, however I need to be attached to my Promethean Board all the time, so an iPad will help me to show my students information at their seats. I can write words from the story I am telling them in Spanish or French. I can point, circle, modify to a part of the movie talk. I can record my student work and conversations and project from the iPad to the Promethean board. We can do videos and games, play songs and conversations, we can read from online books and take group tests. The iPad will save time with taking attendance on the spot, switch from our Do Now to take attendance to the plan for the day and to the interactive lesson, videos, readings, conversations and exit tickets without the need to be attached to one computer and one board in one place.
