I am firm believer that students learn by doing not watching the teacher do the experiments. Obtaining these materials will allow the students to learn about heat hands-on! The students will be able to experience real world situations hands-on! The students will get to go outside and use the radar heat gun to see how the sun affects different types of materials. The kettle will heat the water in a timely manner so the students can use the thermometers to be able to see what type of materials hold in heat better than others. They will have a metal container with and without a lid and a styrofoam container with and without a lid to see which will hold in the most heat.
