This project will help my students have fun with grammar! Since learning about proper grammar and language is essential to their learning, it is important to me to teach it in a way that sticks. I have found that by teaching grammar, students are able to have more meaningful conversations about their writing. When I have individual conferences with my students about their essays, it it much easier for them to correct a run-on or a fragment if they know what those terms are. I am asking for games like Vocabulary and Grammar Bingo, Match and Sort Grammar, and 6 Grammar Games for students to play in the classroom. I am also asking for the Buzzers Lights and Sounds for student to buzz in their answers for grammar questions, like a game show. The Dry Erase Dice and Dice Blank Set are for me to write grammar terms or words and then students can roll the dice and either define the terms or write sentences with the words. More traditional grammar instruction methods can be rather bland, so this will help us spice it up!
