My project will allow my deaf/hard-of-hearing students to grow plants as they grow socially and emotionally. The school has an empty greenhouse that is not in use. In order to fill the greenhouse with plants we need the basic supplies and items to put in the greenhouse. Those basic items include three shelves for the plants to be placed on inside of the green house, plant growing trays, seedling starter trays, plastic plant pots, nursery pots, watering can, plant shovels, and Miracle grow soil. The seeds that the students need to grow the plants are honeysuckle, lavender, lambs ear, carnation, moss rose and basil. These plants will help with offering interesting textures, aromas for relaxation, visual interest and taste for sensory needs. Students will be able to nurture and care for their plants and they will be able to take the plants home to their families when they have finished growing the plants.
