Mindful meditation is a recent program that has shown a positive impact on the school environment by teaching young adults a method of maintaining calm and reduce stress in their lives. While mindful meditation is a newer concept in schools, it has demonstrated academic performance and has resulted in a 75% decrease in suspensions. MO students meditate for 5 minutes at the beginning of each day. There are two meditation teachers who lead an enrichment course twice a week. We are in need of such things as yoga mats, a sound machine, a Bluetooth speaker, a fountain, and more.
