My third graders love using technology, and Chromebooks are a wonderful way to provide access to a whole world of information. My students have different needs, with some students performing several levels above and other students currently performing below grade level. They all need support and instruction to help them achieve and succeed. Computers are a great tool in providing individualized instruction, differentiation, and immediate feedback, all of which have been shown to help students learn more effectively. I want to help my students become 21st century learners and Chromebooks will help me do that. A barrier in my current classroom is our limited access to technology. There are so many programs and activities that our class loves including online audiobooks, research and interactive learning, adaptive reading and math software, learning games like Prodigy math and Kahoot, reading passages that adapt to different students reading levels, and so many more. Students need regular access to reliable technology to be able to benefit from all of the amazing learning tools. I want to help create more meaningful learning experiences, and I believe the Samsung Chromebooks are the perfect way to do that.
