Teaching in an inner city school district where all students are living in or near the poverty level poses many excitements, but also some challenges. My students are very excited about learning, but that comes with some focus and reading comprehension troubles. Having a listening center in my classroom would help them focus on the book and improve their one to one correspondence and reading comprehension as well. All of which are very important. I want my students to be able to learn to their greatest potential and development a love for reading doing learning activities they enjoy as well.
