We need user friendly scientific calculators to prepare our students for what they need to achieve to graduate. When each student is using the same type of calculator and learning the same process they have practiced for years, learning math becomes less of a challenge for so many of our special needs students who have other challenges to deal with. In our classroom using the calculator is a skill that needs to be mastered. Finding a calculator that works or buying one that is upwards of $20 is just not feasible to our students. In high school we are preparing our students for the future with hands on skills. Our students begin using this calculator in 6th grade and continue throughout high school. The process of purchasing and storing them for the students will allow them one less obstacle to overcome.
