We need books that will continue to enhance the social-emotional development of my students. Our titles include My Very Own Space, How Full Is Your Bucket?, We're All Wonders and many more. Within my classroom, several of my students have faced some type of trauma in their short lives. These books will help my students to better deal with their emotions and learn how to cope with strong emotions. Additionally, these books will be a teaching tool for teaching my students how to share, take turns, and ways to be respectful and kind in their everyday lives. I will be using the books in the first 6 weeks of school to develop my students' emotional intelligence. In addition, I will use these books to help students understand various safe ways they can calm their bodies and cope with strong emotions. Through these books, my students will learn life lessons that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
