21st century learning is quickly encompassing the education environment. Without proper tools, students fail to have the skills other students across the country might have who live in a more economically stable area. I am requesting 7 HP Stream 14 Laptops to further my students independent and project based learning skills in both math and coding techniques. In my classroom, I work to provide real-life math and coding aspects to show how beneficial each one is. All students are provided with a Microsoft account through the Board of Education; however we very rarely use it because there isn't enough reliable technology for everyone to use. Programs such as IXL, Prodigy, MobyMax, and Code.org are all programs that help break down content into their level and help them solve higher order thinking problems. Our state achievement test is now given online. Students begin to take this test in the third grade and need to work with computers in order to know how to use them. By working problems on these computers and using interactive math tools and websites, it will prepare my students for successfully completing projects, assignments, and assessments.
