These supplies will complete the student designed aquaponics system to expand existing production. The sump pumps will allow the system to flow more efficiently and the rockwool will allow students to run experiments this year. The thermometer/hygrometer allow students to manipulate environment and adjust production accordingly. Students have effectively run an aquaponics operation and now wish to expand their lettuce production. Our students have benefited from better nutrition and entrepreneurial activities in our local community due to this project. These students have proven their ability to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively. This experiential program has helped all our students become more engaged across curriculum and learning styles.
