Tablets offer so many resources in one item! I plan to use these tablets in the classroom to enhance my teaching. After I have taught a lesson, the students break into small groups. These tablets will be one of the centers. They can be used for math and reading. For reading, they can practice letter and sound recognition, and when they get more advanced, they can practice sight words and read e-books! For my English language learners it is a great way to introduce a variety of letters, sounds and words. In math they can start with number recognition and then move to adding and subtracting. Learning is so much fun when you are able to mix it with technology. These tablets will be used in different ways throughout the whole school year as these students grow! Having access to these devices makes learning more fun and exciting. When learning is exciting, the students will remember what they have learned.
