I am eager to reinvent my classroom, so my middle school students can read and write independently in areas where they work best! The strongest readers and writers can take learned skills and apply them on their own, and these flexible seating options will enhance such opportunities. With these seating options, there will be three independent reading/writing zones in my classroom where these students can choose to work. From reading favorite independent reading books, such as The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau & Refugee by Alan Gratz, to writing inventive narrative and nonfiction pieces, flexible seating will help make magic happen in this middle school classroom!
