In my classroom right now we do not have a big enough carpet for the students to come and sit down on. During the day we do a lot of moving around and most classroom instructions are given on the floor. Having a big and organized (with the alphabet on it) carpet will help my students stay focused and enjoy learning a lot more. My students always ask why the other classrooms have big colorful carpets to sit on but I cannot afford one on my own being a first year teacher. This carpet will improve behavior by students staying seated in their assigned spot.
