The Science Olympiad is a team competition comprised of 23 events that cover a broad range of scientific disciplines including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Many of the events require “builds” such as boomilevers, elastic launched gliders, and battery buggies. Other events are skills tests to measure the teams’ understanding of scientific principles and use of the scientific method. The Science Olympiad competition will be held at California University of PA in March. Students will be expected to work on projects in teams and study independently. Students will use these supplies to enhance their STEM skills and make lifetime memories competing!
