These students have a love for learning driven by curiosity, which leads to exploration and discovery. For all of my students, traveling is a luxury. With Virtual Reality exploration, my students will partake in virtual reality tours all over the world without ever leaving their classroom. My students will develop and fine tune their technological skills as they immerse themselves in several virtual reality experiences. By having these iPod touch and headsets, students will have the opportunity to create their own virtual reality experience, which they can share with their class, their families, their neighborhood, and eventually the world. For example, students can travel to the great barrier reef as we discuss pollution, ecosystem, adaptions, and oceanic food webs. We can travel to Yellowstone as we learn about land formation, animal migratory patterns, and evidence of changes over time. The students will be fully emersed in these adventures and build lasting memories, as well as relatable experiences for today and for many years to come.
