With the quickly growing technology-enhanced world, my students are in need of extra chromebooks in our classroom. We have a few laptops in our classroom, but they are taken very often for our school to do computer-based testing. My students find it frustrating to have to stop in the middle of a project and wait weeks to start it back up again due to our lack of computers. According to John Schacter's research, "students like their classes more and develop more positive attitudes when their classes include computer-based instruction." My students use laptops daily in my classroom. Having many quick learners, I must create many ways to engage my students. I rely a lot on technology. I create online review games, interesting reading and math center work, and enrichment projects for my students to work on. We use technology in our classroom all day long! My students really thrive when having the opportunity to use technology to expand their learning and research their interests. These laptops will help my students be able to learn about their curiosities and reach their full potential.
