We have a new program at our school this year, called STEAM (Science, technology, engineering, and math). We have been crating the curriculum from scratch. One project we want to do with the students is to have the kids learn about photography and science by creating cyanotypes. Cyanotypes are created through a photographic printing process that make cyan-blue prints. Students will learn about the science behind the photographic printing process and also about composition in their designs. By donating to this project you will give kids the opportunity to go outside and create artwork, while they learn about science at the same time! Giving students different experiences, like going outside of the classroom, helps them to grasp onto the information and own their learning more. This project will allow students be creative and learn about science at the same time.
