This will make a huge difference. The students had a difficult time choosing topics due to limited amounts of books at their reading level. This donation will help them to broaden their knowledge on a topic of their choice. Students will have the opportunity to choose a nonfiction or scientific topic and learn how to research! They will learn to read nonfiction text features. They will read many books on the same topic and choose information to share with their class. They will then write about the topic of their choice. They will put information in their own words and publish their writing for others to see.
